The LSAMP 5th Annual Symposium was held on February 19-21, 2009 at the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi campus in Corpus Christi, Texas. All presentations were scored by faculty judges. Top scoring presenters were awarded prizes and all participants were given certificates honoring their excellence. Prizes were awarded as follows:
